Liz Robertson – Managing Partner
Liz has over 14 years of experience as a global HR professional. She has led People Operations for a pan-African energy start-up, a global consumer products company, a non-profit think tank, and a government contractor. She has led the global Workday implementation for an organization of 5,000 employees across 17 countries, developed a gender equity program that resulted in surpassing the energy sector’s gender ratio, developed a global employee equity program, and has led the transformation of the digital employee experience using a variety of platforms.
Liz has held an SPHR Certificate from HRCI since 2013, is a member of SHRM and HRCI, and holds a certificate in Strategic Workforce Planning from HRCI, as well as several specialized certificates from the Josh Bersin Academy. She is also a recent graduate of the RIKA HR Leadership Program, which focuses on building the pan-African HR leaders of the future. She has a Masters in PR / Communication from CCSU and a Bachelor’s in Business from F&M College in the US.
Catherine Nyambura – Consulting Partner
An expert in the field of Human Capital and Organizational Development. With over a decade of experience across diverse geographies, including multinational organizations like TCS in India and high-growth start-ups in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), Her expertise extends to demonstrating how organizations can achieve financial success while fostering a nurturing environment for their employees. She excels in creating work environments that empower employees and promote their growth. Nyambura holds an MBA from Esade Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
Oli Raison – Managing Partner
From the UK, Oli worked for Christian Salvesen (now GXO Logistics), joining the business as a graduate trainee in 2004 and progressing to General Manager, responsible for $18m P&L and 300 staff.
In 2012 he moved to Kenya as a Strategic Development Adviser with Voluntary Service Overseas and in 2013 co-founded EcoZoom, a social enterprise that partnered with entrepreneurs, NGOs, and governments to create sustainable markets for fuel-efficient cookstoves and solar lighting solutions.
As CEO, he grew the business to $2m annual revenue before merging the business with Biolite in 2019 and remained with BioLite initially as Director of Operations for the emerging markets business unit, and finally as Director of People and policy.
Oli is a fluent Swahili speaker and holds an MBA from Aston Business School in Birmingham, UK, and a Certificate in Executive Coaching from Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute (BECI). He enjoys motorcycling around the wilderness of Kenya and other countries.
Anyienda Caroline Matsalia – Consulting Partner
Anyienda is an experienced Intercultural communication trainer with a demonstrated history of facilitating sessions that promote effective communication between people of diverse cultural backgrounds. She has over 10 years of experience working with InterAct Consultancy. Anyienda holds a degree in Counselling Psychology and Social Work. She has extensive experience in working with national and international development agencies such as USAID, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Amici del Mondo (World Friends) and Children of God Relief Institute (COGRI).
She is also the Intercultural Mediator for La Contrada, an Italian non-profit organization that works with immigrants. Anyienda is fluent in English, Swahili, Italian and several Kenyan local languages. She is a passionate facilitator.
